Post Operative Care

Post Operative Care/After Surgery Care

Home Care Preferred knows very well that caring for a loved one after surgery can be very overwhelming. That is why we train our team members to minimise the disruption an operation can bring by providing the support needed both immediately after the procedure, such as re-dressing wounds, preventing infection and keeping in close contact with experienced medical professionals, and also in the weeks and months that follow ensuring that no complications arise, and any medical and lifestyle advice is introduced into your daily life. Together, we create a support plan that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences, allowing you to stay in control of your routine and successfully recover in order to resume living the life you enjoy.

Specifically trained to provide post-operative support, our team members offer assistance ranging from help around the home to personal care. From meal preparation and household chores, to helping with more personal issues like bathing, dressing, wound care and catheter and colostomy bag maintenance. Home Care Preferred are there to carry out all the practical care aspects allowing patients to spend quality time with family and friends whilst recuperating.
